Edit: This isn't a knock against Sage either......just the ineptitude of the Vikings administration as a whole. On the plus side, Sage will be able to come back and be closer to his family in Iowa.

The Vikings on Friday claimed QB Sage Rosenfels off of waivers. Rosenfels was most recently with the Miami Dolphins, but was placed on waivers on Thursday.
With the addition of Rosenfels and with Donovan McNabb being waived by the team on Thursday, the Vikings have three QBs on the roster – Christian Ponder, Sage Rosenfels and Joe Webb.
This will be Rosenfels’ second stint with the Vikings. He was acquired by the Vikings via trade from the Houston Texans in February of 2009 and spent the ’09 season with the team. Then he was traded from the Vikings to the NY Giants in September of 2010.
Rosenfels, selected in the 4th round of the 2001 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins, is an 11-year veteran out of Iowa State University.
Good backup to have behind Ponder and Webb. He can mentor the young guys. Knows a lot of the people there. The coach and O-coordinator who let him go are gone. Nice.

I fear I am too conflicted. One of the only things that could get me to cheer for the PURPLE Sleaseballs. Completely messed up classless organization and fanbase. I'd go to the bears long before I'd ever go back and endure that trash again. That has to be saying a lot.
Yet now they have Sage. Uhhh. Good for sage to stay in the league, I just hope he can upgrade soon.
