As a Cards fan, I am relieved that the Cards got bailed out. Management gave it a try to appease some fans, and the franchise will not be pulled down by a poor contract.
Just throwing **** at the wall right now, but do the Cards go after Prince?
I would like for it to happen, but not likely. They have 2 good corner infielders right now. I know Berkman is old and will not likely play as well this year, but I think they wait.
It was all about the money. He will get to pay some high Cali taxes.
Let's see. He will have a major injury within two years and production will tail off. Then he gets traded back to St Louis for his salary and some bats.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style.
From a Cubs fan - phew! Thank you, Angels. I was less concerned with Hendry gone that the Cubs would give him a 10 year, 300M contract with full no trade, but I was still a bit concerned that the Cubs would overpay. Looks like the Angels took care of that.

*Assuming that agreement is that this year's Carlos O'Kelley's/Applebees commercials with the respective coaching staffs are especially painful to watch this year.
Good move for Pulols and good move for the Cardinals. I think the Angels are the losers on the deal. King Albert is a great player, but his numbers will continue to drop.
