Makes sense.
Re: Why has no one posted this?
It doesn't really explain why the Redskins would be any more likely than another team to get Manning?
Re: Why has no one posted this?
As a life long Colts fan, if this happens, I'm burning everything down from where I'm at to Jim Irsays home.
It'll be a bloodbath.
Re: Why has no one posted this?
I think it's utter horse **** that no one has posted this yet. Thanks be to Baby Jesus for Clones21.
Also, first line in the article states a "credible" ESPN source. Last line in the article states it's of course still speculation. I'd also say it's extremely likely....

Well you should know there is a good chance Peyton will leave.
Re: Why has no one posted this?
No one has posted it, because right now, Peyton is rumored to be traded to 31 teams.

Think he'd be dumb enough to go to the Jets? I know Peyton will be "traded", but I'm guessing the Colts would give him at least some say as a token of respect, but maybe I'm wrong. Anyway, Peyton might be able to turn the locker room around and make that team play up to their potential.

I don't know where he'll end up or if he'll go anywhere at all, but now I have heard news outlets have "sources" say Peyton to the Chiefs, Redskins, Jets, 49ers, Seahawks, Cardinals, Dolphins, Cowboys, Vikings, and Browns.
Re: Why has no one posted this?
The Colts trading Peyton would be the dumbest thing they could do.

It's not that Colts want to trade him, it's that Peyton probably wants traded.

Its actually one of the smartest things they could do. Trading him would mean they got something in return. Its more likely that they'll have to cut him instead so they can avoid paying that massive roster bonus that is due to him in March.
Peyton has had 3 neck surgeries in the past something like 16 months. He's aging. His prime was really good, and he may only be slightly past his prime. He still probably has several decent years ahead of him, but who can say that for sure with the neck issues he is having?

I'd be happy with 1.5 logical reasons of why this is true.
