Selig to intervene in Cubs and Red Sox dispute
Cubs, Red Sox ask Commissioner Bud Selig to settle compensation for Theo Epstein | cubs.com: News
This has been an interesting one to follow. At one point I know the Red Sox wanted Castro who is arguably the Cubs best player. Wish they could work out a deal on Soriano. Cubs eat some money, and Red Sox get a good DH for the American League.
Evidently Theo and his counterpart at Boston couldn't work out a deal however I think some Red Sox above the GM pay grade want a pound of flesh...
It will be interesting to see what Selig does. Have a feeling he'll make a swift decision and nobody will be happy.

Ha, I don't see how a guy that can't hit a fastball thrown harder than 88 would be a "good dh", especially in the AL East.
