    Re: Schiano to Tampa Bay

They have a very solid class coming in. It could be devastating to watch them scramble a week from NSD. I think the question to ask is has he built the program up enouhg to stand on its own 2 feet or do they need to go after a "sexy name" for a coach?

Do they have a WR coach or DB coach available?

I think you are right about proximity. He was down to Rutgers, Neb, and Iowa. Sounded like Rutgers played the staying close to home pitch pretty hard. I hope the Hawk coaches at least test the waters with Schiano leaving.

Tampa Bay would have been better hiring Rhoads I think.

Bucs go from everything but hiring Chip Kelly to hiring Schiano? Anybody else think that this is an strange move? I feel pretty bad for the RU fans. After beating us their coach yelled up to the player who was paralyzed and said "this ones for you" and then he leaves the program. I bet no RU fan saw this coming.
“I told you, I don’t care if you’re black or white. I don’t care if you’re rich or poor. I don’t care where you come from, whether it’s Texas, Florida, California, or right here in the state of Iowa, I don’t care about any of that… But what I did care about is moving forward from that day on, that we were one team." -Paul Rhoads
