Seattle Seahawks sign QB Matt Flynn
Seahawks sign Matt Flynn for three years, $26 million
Good lord, $26 million for two career starts and nine career touchdown passes?
Rob Johnson, anyone?

Re: Seattle Seahawks sign QB Matt Flynn
Wow. The Dolphins were after him supposedly after Manning turned them down. That's some serious money.

The current Bears career leader in passing yards and passing touchdowns played from 1939 to 1950.
Dan Marino's 420 passing touchdowns alone tops the Bears 5 highest touchdown passers combined.

Matt Moore played very well the last 4 or 5 games. However, now that Marshall is gone, the Dolphins have no wide receivers. Bess is a slot guy and Hartline is more of a 4 or 5 type guy. They are going to have another bad season.

Going to end up with Ryan Tannehill ∞ -

Either you don't know the definition of "serviceable" or you're confusing "serviceable QB" with "franchise QB." I will give you the Bears haven't had a franchise QB for as long as anyone remembers, but they have had PLENTY of serviceable QBs.

First, McMahon and Harbaugh both only played 7 seasons in Chicago, then play 8 and 7 seasons, respectively, elsewhere following their time in Chicago.
McMahon threw 67 touchdowns in the 66 games he played for the Bears.
Harbaugh threw 50 touchdowns in the 89 games he played for the Bears.
Can .56 to 1 touchdown pass a game even be considered serviceable?
Cutler has the potential to be a serviceable to franchise quarterback for the Bears. 63 touchdown passes in 41 games (1.54 touchdowns/game). All Cutler has to do is throw 6 more touchdowns to move into second on the Bears all-time list in touchdown passes.

Re: Seattle Seahawks sign QB Matt Flynn
I think Flynn will be very good as a starter, but I'm not sure he'll do well in Seattle. Thought Miami or Arizona would have been a great fit for him.
