Well, LaRussa isn't there to use up 4 guys in an inning, so we probley could. But I still don't know if we want to go to a 6-man rotation.

This is the ONLY situation I can think of where I'd be a proponent. Carp and Waino are both coming off injuries and need to keep their innings in check. Garcia still hasn't figured out how to stretch out his starts, especially on the road. Lynn is tearing it up right now, but how long til hitters figure him out and/or when does he hit the wall? Lohse has looked great for the most part and Westbrook good.
I'd be stunned if the Cards actually did it, or even seriously considered it, but this is the one time where I could see it being something worth looking at.
I'm waiting for Lynn's fastball to go from 93 to 89. That is what scares me with him. If it stays where it's at, he has a good shot at being successful for the better part of the year.
I actually think Waino will get better with more starts. Stronger, at least. At least that is my take on how the surgery affects most guys anymore.
Cards tearing it up again tonight!!!
And....the Cards get hosed on another call at home plate. WTF.
but headed toward the sweep!!!!!
Damn double play!
Not sure I like the decision to pull Lohse already.
