Green Bay Packers vs. Minnesota Vikings - Box Score - October 23, 2011 - ESPN
The score isn't always indicative of how the game is going....Green Bay had a death grip on Vikings' proverbial throat the last 7:49 of the game....This was mainly because Leslie didn't expect Green Bay to run out the clock....

How did the game in Week 6 go? You know when teams were playing for something.
They got blown out, but it was also a home game for the bears and the final straw for McNabb. Ponder with ten weeks of experience starting makes the team completely different. And the Vikings were 1-4, hardly playing for a whole lot with all three division opponents ahead of by multiple games.

Between the Packers, Vikings, and Bears, homefield advantage is absolutely huge. And now it is getting difficult to win at Detroit as well.

I believe the score absolutely is indicative of the game when one dropped pass or fumbled ball could easily lead to a score by the other team that puts you behind. If you are trying to argue that the Packers were completely in control of the game up 6 with 7 minutes left, I disagree. They had a very good final drive to burn all that time off, but that is a close game. The point is, the Vikings aren't the Colts of last year or the Panthers of two years ago. They were in games that they screwed up, but there is talent there at many key positions and I wouldn't be surprised to see 8 wins next year with the easy schedule.

If the 49ers can go from 5 or 6 wins to 13 wins in one season, the Vikings can go from 3 to 8. (Key factor here is playing teams in the NFC West)

The Vikings lost, at home, to team starting Josh McCown at QB and Kahlil Bell at RB. Yeah home field matters a lot...
