NBA build a team (all time)
Bored?
You run a team, you have 12 total spots, come up with a starting 5, a 2nd 5, and 2 extras. Any player past present. Remember that these guys have to fit together, play together, so for me I didnt want guys that arent team players or cant play with other stars. I wanted athletic first 5 and more role types for my 2nd 5.
1: Magic/ obvious
2: Kobe/ 2nd best 2guard ever amazing D ect
3: Bird/ obvious
4: Garnett/ athletic, scorer, rebounder, shot blocker, can run
5: Duncan/ Not the best 5 imo but with this team, I think he fits well
2nd 5
1: Stockton/2nd best pg, alltime leader in steals, assists, great defender
2: D-Wade/ Dont have an explanation, need athleticism off my bench.
3: R Miller/ wanted a shooter, throat slasher, game closer
4: K Malone/ pretty obvious choice
5: Olajuwon/ This was my toughest choice with all the great 5's out there. I finally chose him based on stats. all time leader in blocks, 12th in rebounds, 9th in steals, 11th points. Basically he can do whatever you ask, also athletic.
Extra 2
1: Shaq/ big body, top 3 centers of all time,
2: Chris Mullin/ because I thought of him and really wanted him on my team.

Re: NBA build a team (all time)
My team going against yours
Allen Iverson-Like his scoring, and with Wilt and Robinson behind him, he can gamble on defense
Michael Jordan-Best ever, great defender
Lebron James-Beast, great defender
David Robinson-Glue guy, great defender
Wilt Chamberlain-Second best ever
Steve Kerr-3 point shooter
Dennis Rodman-Rebounder, defender
Kevin Durant-Needed scoring punch
Derron Williams-When Iverson fails at distributing, couldn't think of another PG
Dwight Howard-back up center

Magic
Jordan
Kareem
Wilt
Bird
No bench

Re: NBA build a team (all time)
No Chamberlain? No Jabaar? No Jordan? No Mark Price?
All sorts of fail in this one.

Re: NBA build a team (all time)
The reason for no Jordan is stated, team players that can play with other stars.
Jordan is without a doubt the most selfish me first player in the history of sport. No way could he ever play on a team where anyone is even near his level. Hell he couldnt even play with pippen half the time.

All sorts of fail in this one. Mark Price is the ****!!!! I have actually forgotten about him, he was legit on tecmo basketball!
Jabaar is one of my all time favorites, but I think the others are a better fit for my team. Chamberlain wasnt considered, imo he dominated due to size and lack of size/skill of other players rather than him just being great. I think modern players would dominate him. Not his fault.
