It was close enough to call it. No controversy. I thought is was a 50 50 call, and he made the call. And yeah, you know the ump was aware, but it was a legit call nonetheless.

Yup he checked his swing. But I'm sure the ump was willing to give it to him, especially after the Tigers situation.

And ESPN would go nuts if it was called ball 4.

in that situation you have to give an advantage to the pitcher if you are unsure...would be a ****** thing to do to not give him a perfect game over a 50/50 call...and it also seems the White Sox get the most no-hitters/perfect games, too bad they can't win the rest of the time.
