This would be interesting. The Vikings can only win the Super Bowl by getting it handed to them.

Even if they vacated the Super Bowl XLIV victory, it wouldn't matter. Just like when they took the Heisman away from Reggie Bush, Texas fans wanted it given to Vince Young, but there was no way they could prove Young would have won it. Even if the Vikes had gone on, who knows who would've won that Indy-Minnesota matchup.

The league appoints someone to these games to make sure this stuff doesn't go on. That's 1 strike on ESPN's report.

Unless this league appointee (the frequency coordinator) is specifically looking for this device, how would he ever find it? He's just there to make sure all the different entities using legitimate radio communications at the game are on different frequencies, and not running over each other (which frequently happened prior to the frequency coordinator). He's not there to sweep for wiretaps.

This info comes from a "disgruntled ex-employee"... who would get destroyed on the witness stand if they were in court. You don't get "incriminating evidence" from a "disgruntled employe" because it just screams "LIE"... That's strike 2 on ESPN.

How do you know what would happen if this employee went on the stand? This is just pure speculation on your part.

It happened 10 years ago... how can they prove this? Supposedly this was before Katrina, so after all of the renovating and what-not... how can they prove that this went on? Throw in the fact that we were a .500 team back the, so its not like we were actually doing anything with the opposition's information anyway.

lol, this kind of stuff cracks me up. Yeah, the bounties were complete BS, but seriously, as much as people hate to admit it, stealing info is just part of the game.

This goes all the way back to the Brady Bunch when Greg spotted Jerry Rogers trying to steal his playbook, so they set up a fake one. In high school we had to move to a new practice field because opposing teams would have people park on the highway and scout our practices. And in baseball, it's a given that the opposing team is going to do everything they can to steal your signals.

Yeah, I think it's cheap and low rent, but at the same time, I also think it's part of sports. Anything to gain an advantage.

part of sports with bad coaches. you are provided game tape to scout opposing teams if you want them You can also send assistants to watch the other teams play... but stealing practice info and wire taping? there is no room in sports for this. if its part of what we currently call sport, then it needs to change. if something wrong is going on you cant just say o well, murder is just part of life, it happens. People steal things, o well.
