White Sox player strikes out - bad swing.
Opposing player hits a homerun - bad pitch (or had to be a bad pitch because the ref is squeezing him).

Good thing he's the White Sox announcer then. He's not being paid to make a Cub fan happy with his calls.

It's not just Cubs. I understand you being an announcer for a certain team, but as an announcer it gets to a certain point where you are a major homer. He has crossed that line big time.

Re: Ken Harrelson- White Sox television broadcast announcer

I don't like his or Steve Stone's voice. Len Kasper has a great voice for announcing, and I think he is one of the best in the business. I've never really found any other crew that I have really enjoyed listening to during a baseball game. Pat Hughes is definitely one of the greatest announcers of all time as well, but he is on the radio.

Lived in Chicago for a number of years and loved watching the Sox, and loved listening to Hawk Harrelson call the games.

"You can put it on the booooooaaaaaaarrrrrddd.... YES!"

    Great fun.

Vin Scully is easily the best in the business.

I agree that Hawk is one of the worst around baseball. He's still who I prefer to have calling the games.

Len Kasper has gotten a bit better the last few years after he came to terms with the dumpster fire that is the Cubs franchise.

As a Sox fan i am biased but i love listening to all the stories he tells and his sayings. I also enjoy the Stone Pony, he is amazing at predicting pitches, hit and runs, and look for him to go to right field heres.

Wow. Clones21 is a ******* Cubs fan. Who coulda guessed?

Complaining about a homer announcer is just stupid, especially your crosstown rival. You don't hear me complaining about the giant dump Wrigley is, or how awful Santo was...

    Hawk is the worst.

This is a pretty universal opinion; it's not just Cubs fans.

Cubs fan here, and I actually like the guy. Definitely unique, but it is quite entertaining to hear about all those duck snorts, dingers, etc.

Re: Ken Harrelson- White Sox television broadcast announcer

I mostly like him, but there's things I like and don't like about him, he does love the Sox though, so I can see why people don't like him. My grandma couldn't stand him though, and routinely put Comcast games on mute. FTR, we're both Sox fans.

Vin is the king though, I love his stupid "he's up to his elbows in alligators" sayings.
