He's a radio announcer. What the **** do you expect? Hawk rules.

Lol yeah he's a local guy, isn't he? I just assumed so since I'm in Chicago, but it's not like he is doing major network national games. If you don't like him, find your teams local broadcast and you'll be a lot happier. It's like complaining about John Walters being a homer.
He's terrible. While my personal preference is for announcers to be even towards both teams I certainly tolerate a degree of bias. Hawk takes it much too far. As a Twins fan he's pretty hilarious to watch and listen to if the Sox go thru some ridiculous collapse in a game.
Don't really like Dick and Bert for the Twins either(analysis is lacking and again a bit biased towards "the Twin way" for my taste). Best announcing crew in the AL Central is the Tigers, listen to them from time to time and they do a damn good job.
Cards fan. my bro is a sox fan. anytime he watches a game I just make fun of hawk. I hate his stupid sayings. Also he looks drunk half the time during pregame. Can't blame him tho, I would do the same if I had to watch the white sox everyday. lol
ron santo's squeaky voice was the worst radio voice ever .............. like finger nails on a blackboard
I used to really like Hawk but his act has worn on me in the recent years. Steve Stone is one of the most knowledgeable color men in all of baseball and always seems to teach you something new about baseball in each broadcast. Ed Farmer, the White Sox radio announcer is excellent and I prefer listening to him over Hawk.
Hawk is my pick to click. He does what a local announcer is supposed to do and puts his own flavor into calling a game.
The only worse announcers are those clowns on the radio for the Cardinals. I'm indifferent to St Louis, but that "get up! get up! oh yeah!" **** is annoying. Plus I they have a creepy homo-erotic love affair going on. Aint that right, big boy?
lol and have another
I enjoy Steve Stone quite a bit. He and Ed Farmer were great on the radio together, but moving Steve to television was a good thing
First off I would never be caught trying to convince someone that Wrigley isn't in desperate need of repair, however calling it a dump is beyond ridiculous...try checking with 95% of the other baseball fans in the U.S. and see what their opinion is...are they all brainwashed by ESPN and the other media??
On Hawk the Idiot....I see a difference between a radio announcer and t.v. announcer but maybe it's just me. I wouldn't have near the problem with Hawk if he was on the radio because he wouldn't be as noticeable and for some reason I have come to expect a lot more bias on radio broadcasts, maybe because of Zabel. I mean his idiocies are bad enough, however last time I made a wrong turn on the remote I stumbled across 5-minutes of dead silence before Hawk ruined it by pulling out one of his cutesie nicknames for a White Sox player, so adorable.
I agree.

I can't watch WGN when the Sox are playing a team I actually want to watch because I can't stand listening to that guy. He's really the only pxp person I honestly hate listening to. Not a Sox fan anyway, but he certainly doesn't make me want to ever try.
