Re: Playoff Time
Absolute ********* officiating stole that game from the Celtics. Hard to win playing 5 vs. 8 on the road. **** I hate the Heat.

Re: Playoff Time
It's all over for Boston now. They can't play any better than that and it's not likely that Rondo will have a shooting performance like that again. Doc might regret playing most of his starters 43+ minutes. That coupled with the loss hangover could lead to a blowout in game 3.

If they win the recovery doesn't seem so bad but, now that they've lost, it's like "what the heck can we do?" Game 3 has the possibility to be very very ugly.

It was most likely 2 to 4 point swing, game probably would have came down to the final possessions of overtime. I could definitely still see Miami winning, but it would have been a nail biter instead of how it ended up.
The game overall was actually officiated much better than game 1. For game 1 officiating to be remotely fair you would need to start calling something like 300 technical fouls a game, because that's how often some of the "tech-worthy" fouls in that game occur in every NBA game. Obviously in game 1 Miami was just going to blow out Boston no matter what that night, but a couple of those techs were still gigantic WTF moments in officiating history.

Question is now if they sweep or win in five does that rest help Miami, or does the lack of a mighty challenger prior to SA/OKC hurt them.
I'm not ripping Bosh because I'd have loved to get him over Boozer in the free agent market...but he's really not missed that much on this team so far. He wasn't a big part of why they're very good on defense and they're scoring a lot without him. Even last night would have been an easy win for Miami if their star players don't miss a ton of free throws down the stretch. Obviously you want him back for the finals, but I'm not sure if it's really much of an x factor.

He was a key part in beating Chicago last year. That said, I think it would be foolish for Spoelstra to play him much at power forward. The Heat's best lineup would be with Bosh at Center and James at PF.

Just a note: The Heat get Pittman back on Friday.
He probably won't be taking out KG.

What is going on? What a horrible turn of events. I was convinced this game was on tomorrow and stumble upon the Spurs being down 20? Awful.

Kind of OT: Am I the only one who thinks OKC should have an orange alternate? Would look pretty sweet.

With OKC/SA. Yeah SA was on a crazy winning streak, but it was kind of silly the way so many people dismissed OKC, there were several times this season they were playing as well as anyone. They're maybe the hardest team to match up with defensively (along with Miami) and they have a few defensive specialists that can create problems.
If they can somehow channel this defensive effort the rest of the way the series will be a war.

Re: Playoff Time
Honestly in my opinion it all just comes down to who is hitting their jump shots... When the Spurs are, they look invincible... When the Thunder are, they look invincible.... Just so happens both teams have made shots at home so far.

Re: Playoff Time
IMO this next game will determine if this is a 5 game series or 7. I figured the Thunder would win that game but I sure didn't expect them to put the beating on the Spurs that they did.
