They may be few and far between...but I like the young players and see a ton of potential if Theo can find a reliable closer.

    Love the aggressive baserunning.
We're not great right now, but it's a fun team to watch.

5 scoreless innings from the "terrible" bullpen.

Two people specifically were horrible out of that pen. One has been demoted and the other keeps being signed for old times sake. Fun win today!

Playing less than .400 ball, but I'm actually enjoying the season (which I could have hardly said last year).

Get rid of the Soriano/Marmol/Soto millstone, and the future might look positively bright.

Take Volstad and Randy Wells out of the equation, and it's a lot better.
We're 0-11 in their starts (as well as Dempster's, which makes no sense).
In fact, we're 11-6 when those guys don't start.

And I know. That was the classic "if everything was perfect and we never lost, we'd be undefeated" sort of argument.

But we're a lot less horrible than we started out. That's a big victory for this year's team.

Not sure if any of you are serious.
I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

Hopefully Cardenas takes some at bats away from Barney, he stinks.

I still haven't lost hope in Wells. Marmol could figure out his problems too, but even when he was good---and when he was at his best he was basically unhittable---he could destroy either team on the field.

Soto and Barney are not starter-caliber position players.

This. It's been a long time since I've had this much fun watching the Cubs. Honestly, I don't think they've been this fun to watch since 2003. They've clearly had much better years than this since then, but this team is just fun to watch, win or lose.

Love the young core of guys we already have in the bigs with Castro, Barney, Garza, Samardzija (he's been beyond shocking this year). LaHair has finally found the stroke he displayed in Des Moines. Jackson, Rizzo, and Castillo are going to be key guys for the future.

You can see the light at the end of the tunnel already.

I love watching Campana make hustle plays day in and day out. And LaHair has been awesome!
