Padres @ Cardinals Broadcast last night
Was anybody else watching the FS Midwest feed last night when it gave up? How sweet was it to get to listen to Dick Enberg for 5 or 6 innings? As a kid that grew up listening to him call just about every major sporting event back in the day, I've gotta say it took me back. McGlaughlin (sp?) and Al/Rick do a nice job, but it was a nice change of pace to get to hear a true legend call a Cards' game. I'm sure Fox Sports and their advertisers were none too happy with how it shook out, but I can't imagine that too many fans were complaining.
For me, this comes on the heels of listening to Vin Scully do a Dodgers' game on the MLB Network last week, and listening to Uecker do the 13 inning Brewers game vs. the Cubs on the radio when I was up in NE Iowa the Friday before last. That's quite the trifecta for a guy that reveres the game as much as I do.

I was, but we were playing board games and not listening to the broadcast much.

Loved it! Tyler Greene had himself a game!
"Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game"
"Hey I just met you, and this is crazy, but here's my number, so call me maybe?" -

Sweet baby Jesus, can you, just one time, post in a thread that involves the Cardinals without referencing the Cubs? I'm not sure that Dick Enberg calling a Cards' game and the Cubs being 12 under could be any less related, yet you find a way to throw in a dig. Honestly, it's sad. In case you haven't noticed, the Cardinals don't have a ton of room to talk right now when it comes to winning baseball.
If you want to have a ******* match, start your own thread. I have no desire to see this one turn into what is probably coming now.

As a Cubs fan who happened to be watching the Cardinals game last night, I was going to comment on how I really enjoyed the "dual" broadcast. It saddened me to see how quick it took to have a comment about neither the Padres or the Cardinals, and reminded me of the things that can make Cardinals fans so distasteful.

Re: Padres @ Cardinals Broadcast last night
It would be great if Fox Sports San Diego was available to everybody here in San Diego. It stinks that the Padres have a broadcaster like him and only a few can actually watch the games (because there really is no other reason to watch the Padres, they are a mess).

Saddened you. The Cubs suck! You should be sad about that. I will say that I thought it was very cool the way Wood went out the other day. I was watching and it was neat.

Also, the key to the Cards winning last night was the fact that I was unable to watch it.
