Gareth Bale is playing out of his mind right now. He had a brace yesterday and was very close to a hat trick but was denied a couple of times by Krul.
Yeah I just quoted myself so what. Frimpong looked like $*** in his first start, Emanuelson is 10 times better Arsenal can have Frimpong back on this loan deal unless Frimpong plays better. He looked lost for Fulham for the 60 mins he played. Considering Fulham killed Norwich earlier this yr, it was almost embarassing to draw with them on the road last Sat
Not Premier League, but damn.
Nice ******* laser off the left foot there. Wow.
I saw that goal happen live yesterday. I love how Friedel is just flat footed and watches the missile fly past him helplessly.
I was gonna make a new thread for this but I figured anybody that would give a **** is already reading this thread:
@GrantWahl: Former USMNT player @robbierogers appears to have just come out & retired from soccer in the same blog post http://fb.me/2G6VcA57v
Here is the blog post: Home - robbierogers8
Good for Robbie Rogers. I'd be curious to know if he feels the need to retire because he simply doesn't want to play anymore/pursue other interests or if he feels like he doesn't want to have to fight the battle as an openly gay athlete who is still playing.
Probably a little of both. There's a lot of hostility in sports, and most still feel like "the locker room" doesn't have the same expectations of civility as other professional workspaces.
That almost looked like a banana kick but it was done off the bounce. Crazy.
At 25 years old I don't see any other reason for his retirement. It's a sham that he feels that he needs to retire, but good luck to him on his future. I was always a big fan of his when he played under Sigi Schimd in Columbus. It will be interesting to see how other footballers react.
European soccer fans still heckle the **** out of black players, I imagine it'd be similar for an openly gay man.
