    Mayock. /thread.
Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed. Then look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn't drink this beer, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself, "It is better that I drink this beer and let their dreams come true than selfish and worry about my liver."

I like them both. Collinsworth for on-field play, Gruden for all things off-field.

I don't know if Collinsworth is the best in the game, but I like him and would definitely take him over Gruden for play-by-play commentary (for the reasons you stated). One of the reasons I like Collinsworth (and I like Johnny Miller for the same reason) is that they are straightforward and call it as they see it, and are not out there worrying about whose feelings might be hurt by giving honest commentary. Nothing is worse than seeing a terrible play and having some commentator dance around trying to dress it up. That sort of PC commentary adds nothing to the broadcast and just furthers the dumbing down of the viewers.

Gruden is the man, but I'm not as down on Collinsworth as most people are.

Gruden. I don't know if some of you forget or don't think about it, but Gruden will probably be back on the sidelines at some point. This is why he doesn't bad mouth players, play calls, etc. However, he is critical when called for. Gruden's analysis is far superior to Collinsworth and Mayock.

I can't stand Collinsworth and Mayock front running. Not to mention Nessler and Mayock have gotten more players names wrong in the first 3 weeks than the other primetime braodcast's will all year. I hate thursday games this early in the year and the NFL Network has had 3 horse **** productions to start the year. In fact Berman and Dilfer were better than the Sunday/ Thursday night teams. I too miss Jaws Monday night was better as a 3 man booth
