The play was ruled a TD. No reason to claim I am delusional, when I say it is a TD and it was ruled a TD. Those that claim it isn't should provide more proof, then my team affiliation or that I am clearly wrong for some other superficial reason.

Those that say it wasn't a TD, Define Possession and/or Control. This should be good

You are either trolling, or refusing to pay attention... Golden Tate's right hand comes away from the ball on the way to the ground. Golden Tate didn't have possession.

Took me a while to find it, trying to figure out which thread it was posted in. Here's the rule:

Item 5: Simultaneous Catch. If a pass is caught simultaneously by two eligible opponents, and both players retain it, the ball belongs to the passers. It is not a simultaneous catch if a player gains control first and an opponent subsequently gains joint control. If the ball is muffed after simultaneous touching by two such players, all the players of the passing team become eligible to catch the loose ball.

I highlighted the part that spells out why this was the wrong call. Tate never catches it at all...I posted a blow by blow on the last page (40 posts per page, baby!). Tate only has one hand on the ball when Jennings possesses it, then actually takes his hand off completely and then only as they are falling to the ground and Jennings brings it in does he put his right hand back on to try and wrestle it away. I think you'd have something it Tate had caught the ball, but he never did.
