Fantasy Football advice
Any advice on the following would be great:
1. Quarterback: I have Peyton Manning and RGIII. RGIII has been money but they play Pit. Peyton on the other hand, is playing New Orleans who has one of the worst defensive units in the league. I'm leaning towards Peyton on this one. He has also thrown 3 tds in each of the last 3 weeks.
2. Running back: Vick Ballard or Alex Green. Both are playing porous rushing d. I'm leaning towards Alex Green hoping he gets mop up work when GB takes a big lead...
3. TE: Kyle Rudolph or Vernon Davis - Past weeks I have played Vernon Davis but he has done poorly the last two weeks. This week Rudolph plays TB tonight who isn't good against the pass and Davis plays at Arizona. I'm leaning towards Rudolph.
4. WR/RB: This is where I'm torn. I have 4 good receivers and can play two with an option to play a third one in the WR/RB position. I have the following wide receivers that I will play:
A. Calvin Johnson - killing my team lately
B. Marquis Colston - saving my team lately
The question is whether I should play one of the next two or play Vick Ballard/Alex Green instead. I have been playing WRs in this spot because I am deep at receiver, however it has been backfiring as they don't get guaranteed points where the running backs tend to get 6-7 points and then double their points if they get a touchdown. So, who do I play at WR/RB
C. Larry Fitzgerald - playing the top pass defense, SF. And has Skelton forgetting to throw his way.
D. Brandon Gibson - playing NE and most targeted receiver for St. Louis.
E. Vick Ballard/Alex Green - almost guaranteed points... They both scored better than the two above last couple weeks but the two above could have breakout games...
Ok, I know, lots of decisions, but know cyclone fanatics are smart and opinionated.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Fantasy Football advice
Start Manning over RGIII and don't think twice about it. Look at what Josh Freeman did against the Saints. Peyton has yet to throw an INT at home and the Saints D is horrendous.

Re: Fantasy Football advice
Marquis Colston for sure at WR!

Re: Fantasy Football advice
.1 for every yard rushing/receiving.

Re: Fantasy Football advice
Start Ballard in the WR/RB spot ... he was ok last week.
Amendola might be back this week for the Rams and that would limit Gibson.
The AZ QB is horrible and they'll give up about 8 sacks. Feel really sorry for Larry Fitz.
Peyton or RGIII? Probably ok either way -- tough to predict. But Peyton is at home and the Eagles will be hunting.
TE? Not sure. The Vikings have a few weapons: #28 and #12 eat a lot of points. I think Davis is due.

Re: Fantasy Football advice
I'd start Peyton and Rudolph. Tampa's d is bad against the pass and give up a lot of points to TEs. Rudolph has been a huge red zone threat and he can get multiple targets in the red zone throughout any game. Last week was bad for him (I started him), but that was because Ponder played poorly. I expect a much better game tonight.

Re: Fantasy Football advice
I also have Peyton and RG3 in one of my leagues! Definitely going with Manning.

Re: Fantasy Football advice
1. Peyton slightly above RG3 this week because of the great match-up.
2. Ballard and Green are very close. Flip a coin, but I'd lean Green too
3. Davis, more proven.
4. Larry Fitz. I know he hasn't been spactacular this year, but do you really want Gibson or Vick Ballard starting over him when he goes off for 150 yards and 3 tds on your bench like he's capable of?

Re: Fantasy Football advice
Manning for sure
Green
CJ
Colston
Gibson (Amendola is back practicing, not back playing, that wont happen til week 10 at least)
Gibson should get some good targets. Ballard wont get the ball in the endzone.

Re: Fantasy Football advice
I need to start 3 of these wide recievers:
1. Brandon Marshall (CHI) vs CAR
2. Marques Colston (NO) @ DEN
3. James Jones (GB) vs JAC
4. Demaryius Thomas (DEN) vs NO
Thoughts? I'm leaning towards sitting Jones....
Scoring settings:
1 per reception
10 yards per point (I'm pretty sure its incremental though so really .1 per yard)
3 points at 100 yards

3 points at 100 yards I would say Marshall and Thomas are locks to start. Probably a coin flip between the other 2.

Re: Fantasy Football advice
Pick the QB
P Rivers or RGIII
1 pt for 50 yds passing
1 pt for every completion
1 pt for 10 yds rushing
6 pts TD

Re: Fantasy Football advice
Ok, I'm going with the following:
QB: Manning
RB: Steven Ridley
RB: Alex Green
RB/WR: Vick Ballard
WR: Calvin Johnson
WR: Marquis Colston
TE: Rudolph - Will be going against a week TB D and Leonard Johnson maybe starting tonight so this will be difficult to cheer against him...
Bench:
TE: Vernon Davis..... hope he has one more poor week.... playing Arizona who is 4th best d against pass
WR: Brandon Gibson - was tempted as NE d has been bad against pass - this is the one I'm concerned with.
Larry Fitgerald - They are playing SF who has the top passing D.
Thanks for all of the advice. I will let you know on Sunday/Monday how I made the wrong decisions. My bench players always seem to do the best. So, if you have any of my bench guys on your team, play them as they should do well....

I would probably stick with RGIII
