And not this time, either - the Rams just kicked a FG to beat the Niners.

And that's why I can't take the Niners as a serious Super Bowl contender - yet. Sure, they have some excellent wins this season, but they have just as many mind-boggling losses (and tie). Sure, the Rams are a better team this year than last, but going 0-1-1 against them - and looking pathetic both times - is something Super Bowl teams don't do.

And as much as I'd like to proclaim my Falcons as the best NFC team (while they pretty much are, record-wise anyway), I can't do that until they get around to actually winning a playoff game.

I like Harbaugh, but IMO he is completely mismanaging the QB position. I can't think of one reason to bench Smith. His accuracy this season is insane.

Story of the year for the Lions. Good enough to be a playoff team, but just aren't getting it done when it counts. I see some assistants getting canned in Detroit this offseason - perhaps a housecleaning outside of the head coach. Earlier in the season it was the offense and special teams that couldn't do anything right. Now that, for the most part, they have the offense firing on more cylinders, the defense has decided not to show up.

Maybe they can pick up Money Reynolds or Aaron Horne.

I'm just saying something needs to change. I'm not necessarily saying a qb change. Picking up a good receiver to have along with Harvin would be great.

I wouldn't go that far, at least not this year. I listen to A LOT of Detroit sports radio (considering I live here), and while people aren't necessarily happy with a lot of the decisions made this season, he has a lot of grace built up here. He took a team that went 0-16 in 2008 and just 3 years later had them 10-6 and in the playoffs for the first time in more than a decade.

IMO Schwartz will get at least one more year to determine whether last year or this year was the fluke.

It's as if it is opposite year for them. Last year would be down big a lot and comeback win. This year they've lost a number of leads.

My read on the situation is Lions fans are more frustrated by this season instead of angry. Quite frankly, the Lions are a few plays here and there from not only being a playoff team, but leading the NFC North. They've only lost one game this season by more than one score.

What's your opinion on Romo? Some Cowboys fans continue to defend the guy to the hilt, continue to insist he's an elite QB. My opinion is the guy might be the most overrated QB in the NFL and, if he was going to be an elite QB, he would have proven it by now.

If you know football and have watched Dallas play this season - then you know this season's issues are not as a result of QB play.

It starts on the offensive line with too many assumptions made in the offseason and then injuries made those assumptions extra painful. Dez being inconsistently, Austin/Murray injuries - add to offensive problems. I just don't see a sense of urgency. They can score at will when they want to - but it doesn't happen until they get down by 21.

Defense has been good but again - injuries at LB and secondary have hurt a lot. Frustrating though is a god defense but in 3-4 games this season, when it counted late in the 4th Q - could not get off the field.

And finally - I am in no way convinced Garrett is the answer.
