That CB who said he was the 2nd best receiver on the jets might have been lying. He probably would be the best.

Looks like the cap hit is even bigger than his base salary. According to this site, it would be a $13 million hit if they cut him before next year.

If that's true, there's no way he's going anywhere.

    The Jets basically screwed themselves.

Bringing in Tebow was one of the worst decisions you could possibly make. You have a qb with confidence issues so you bring in one of the most polarizing qb's (through no fault of his own) who also has one of the largest and most vocal fan clubs in the NFL, and you're in the new york media market. I have no idea what he was thinking.

    Re: Jets bench Sanchez

Sanchez has not been developed as a QB in any way since joining the league. Horrid offensive coaching. Add to the fact his surrounding cast is not good - he looks really bad.

I remember his first couple years - looked good. But no development has killed him.

    Re: Jets bench Sanchez

The Jets offensive staff's decision making this year was mind boggling. I've never seen a QB situation handled so poorly. It's obvious Rex didn't want Tebow brought in as he purposefully wouldn't play him even when Sanchez sucked.

When it was evident Sanchez was shot, why not play Tebow and run an offense similar to Denver last year and ride your defense? Rex would have had nothing to lose doing that but his ego and stubbornness killed the season

    Re: Jets bench Sanchez

Can someone please explain this to me. Why are some people saying that Sanchez has bad / horrible wide recievers. These wide recievers did make it into the NFL so that can't be that bad / horrible can they?

    Re: Jets bench Sanchez

I guess I'll bump this thread with this.
New York Jets to shop Mark Sanchez, part ways with Tim Tebow, according to sources - ESPN New York

They're going to "shop him around?" Who in their right mind is going to trade for Mark Sanchez and his $8 million dollar guaranteed 2013 salary? Just indicative of the horrible management going on over there. They'd be hard pressed to give him away.

As far as Tebow goes, Jacksonville seems like a match made in heaven. He's from there, so he'll be a draw, and they're bad enough on offense to be willing to try anything.
