Re: The Expected Black Monday Axe
Can I rest my case on Tony Romo yet?
Game that counts? Check. The winner of this game wins the NFC East and gets in the playoffs, the loser goes home.
Romo doesn't show up? Check. 2 TDs, 3 INTs. The final one of those at 3:00 left in the game seals the game.
Face it. Tony Romo puts up great numbers when there is no pressure on his team to perform, but put the guy in a situation where he needs to lead his team to victory and the only thing you can count on is him crumbling like a cheap, wet napkin.

I know, right? No defense, top 2 receivers go down. It is all one guy's fault.

Those were some costly picks. 2 of them in Washington territory, 1 deep in Dallas territory. Washington scored 10 pts off of them. This was against the 28th ranked defense in the league in an elimination game.
Good quarterbacks don't do that.

Re: The Expected Black Monday Axe
Is Romo a good QB? Yes. Is he the one for Dallas? No.
Time for some new blood.

I mean, 21 points (what the defense gave up prior to the final fatal TO) is such a horrid showing that no quality QB can come back from it. As far as their two best receivers getting knocked out, first, you make it sound like Romo was tearing up the joint when they were in (hardly), second, since you're the one that insists he's in the company of Manning or Brady or Brees (after all, those are elite QBs), well, those three guys would have gotten it done regardless of what pieces they had to work with, and have done so their entire careers. Romo, or at least his supporters, on the other hand, always want to blame it on his tools.

Umm still had a HoF TE to throw to. Tony Romo would be a good fit for KC.

Colin Cowherd posts here.
I'd have never guessed that.

Re: The Expected Black Monday Axe
As a Bears fan, I really liked the draft picks and off-season moves this year... Emery has been great so far. The players seem to want Lovie to stay (Brandon Marshall, Brian Urlacher of Chicago Bears want Lovie Smith back as coach - ESPN Chicago), although the playoffs were missed, it was still a 10 win season. The 2nd half of the schedule was definitely harder but they always seemed to underperform. Not sure what the issues are, but I hope J'Marcus Webb isn't the starting LT next season.

Two years of epic failure at back-up running back.
In the playoffs (not going anywhere) both years, without that.

Crennel will obviously be gone, but I hope to God that Clark Hunt is smart enough to fire GM Scott Pioli as well.
