Though some may see the Chicago Bears
as a team with significant holes to fill in some spots, this is -- by far -- the team with the best 2012 record that fired its coach on Black Monday. So whoever GM Phil Emery chooses is walking into a pretty good situation.
On Monday, news hit the wire that the Bears had already reached out
regarding Broncos OC Mike McCoy
-- a man who's drawing interest all over the league this offseason -- and there are some others on deck for interviews as well. Dan Pompei of the Chicago Tribune
reports that in addition to McCoy, Falcons special teams coach Keith Armstrong and Buccaneers OC Mike Sullivan
will interview this week for the job as well, and more will come next week. Armstrong spent four seasons with Chicago (1997-2000), though this may not have much effect on the process.
