    Hester's reaction to Lovie's firing

Anyone follow the players reaction to his firing? I found it interesting that Jay says all the PC things and it's Hester that acts like a brat.

Adam Hoge ‏@AdamHogeCBS Devin Hester: "Majority of y'all wanted him out. Players wanted him in. I guess the fans out ruled us." #Bears

#Bears WR Devin Hester very emotional about Lovie Smith's firing. He spoke about the possibility of quitting or joining Lovie elsewhere.

Kinda hope he leaves. He's no longer a threat to return kicks for TD's and has been a waste as a WR. I also lost a ton of respect for Urlacher. I think these guys forget that without fans they wouldn't have the job playing the sport they love.

Really, you lost respect for Urlacher who made your franchise into one that contends? Might as well become a Packers fan and join the KU board, you look like a fair weather fan to me.

No, lost respect when he ripped on the fans for being upset with this season (and essentially the last few seasons). Doesn't care about the fans?

Re: Hester's reaction to Lovie's firing

Maybe Hester should learn how not to drop every pass thrown his way. Maybe if he could run a route or catch a ball, or hell, even return a kick anymore... maybe Lovie would still be the coach of an NFL playoff team.

Hester should keep his ******* mouth shut. I hope he does retire.

Devin should have caught more passes and made more plays. Lovie then keeps his job, but Devin was a great return man that never developed at WR.

Too often we hold fast to the clichés of our forebears. We subject all facts to a prefabricated set of interpretations. We enjoy the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought."

One post-season in the past six years, no Super Bowl... sounds like a good enough reason for the fans to be upset, no matter how many games you win.

Exactly, and why I thought his statements were pretty pee poor. I own a 54 jersey but have a hard time wearing it again.

All he had to say was "yes, the fans have every reason to be upset and boo, we whizzed a 7-1 start down our legs and missed the playoffs...again".

Re: Hester's reaction to Lovie's firing

Maybe because Lovie was the only one who thought Hester was serviceable as more than just a kick returner...
