Is he just lying? What did you expect one of his teammates to say? "Yeah, Christian is a *****. He could have been out there tonight but he wimped out so he could stand on the sideline while we all got embarrassed against the Pack. **** that guy."
C'mon, now.

I got a hang nail my junior year in baseball that forced me to sit out two games.

C'mon, now. Ok, then what about ESPN reporter, Kevin Seifert's account?
"I know many of you are questioning Ponder's toughness, and you're wondering why he didn't at least try to play. To me, there is a difference between playing with pain and playing with limited function. I saw Ponder's warm-up throws, which he said represented the top velocity he was capable of. If that's the case, there is no way he could have played effectively Saturday night.
Maybe a quarterback can play with an injury to his non-throwing arm or shoulder. But to his throwing arm? That would be more indicative of limited intelligence than toughness, at least to me."
Was he covering for Ponder as well?

Was he covering for Ponder as well? Hey, great. I wasn't saying what I believe one way or the other, just saying that quoting a teammate on his perspective doesn't provide much usable insight.
