Chiefs Need a QB?
Is Andy Reid planning to bring Michael Vick to Chiefs? - NFL.com
Kansas City needs to reorganize under center. Matt Cassel and Brady Quinn have been given more than enough time to prove they aren't the answer, but Vick has problems of his own. He's ultra-brittle and too often a turnover machine. We can't see Reid going down this path a second time.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -

God No! If Reid even suggests it he should be fired on the spot!

Re: Chiefs Need a QB?
Reid only needs to get canned if he decides Ricki Stanzi is his man.

Re: Chiefs Need a QB?
Will they go after Alex Smith or Tavaris or Seneca or Sage?

Re: Chiefs Need a QB?
I think a lot of teams will go after Alex Smith.

Re: Chiefs Need a QB?
I think the best thing for them to do would be go after Smith or Vick. They are proven QB's in the NFL and would not be as big of a risk as drafting a QB to start. Then draft a QB in the second or third round, develop them for a couple years and dump whoever they have.

I wouldn't mind trying to get Flynn from Seahawks for now and draft a qb for later.

Not a chiefs fan - but if i were in the front office, i would offer the seahawks their 4th round pick for flynn. Seattle would love to get rid of that salary and get a pick in return. Considering KC selection, its like having two picks in the third. Then seattle can go out and sign someone like matt moore for 2 mil and still have 6-8 million to invest in someone like say Henry Milton DT from chicago....
Then KC can cut their losses with Cassell, and Quinn, keep Stanzi and draft with overall #1 pick someone like OT out of A&M Joeckel or whatever it is....or what many believe to be the next d Thomas in Jones from Georgia.

I am also not a Chiefs fan btw.

Re: Chiefs Need a QB?
Alex Smith would fit in really well with the Chiefs or the Vikings.

Re: Chiefs Need a QB?
If they're smart, they'll use their #1 pick on someone other than a QB, there's not one worth the top pick, imho. Trade down or take a left tackle, or maybe even that end out of FSU. Not a QB though. It would be a waste

I think they might draft a developmental QB in the draft, but I think they are going to focus on protecting Ponder and putting more weapons around him.
