    Dorsey is KC GM

Chiefs hire Packers' Dorsey as general manager - NFL - CBSSports.com News, Rumors, Scores, Stats, Fantasy

Dorsey was instrumental in helping build Green Bay into a perennial contender, first as a college scout from 1991-97 and then as director of college scouting from 1997-98 -- a period that roughly coincided with Reid's time as a Packers assistant coach.

Dorsey spent one season with the Seattle Seahawks before returning to Green Bay, where he was director of college scouting from 2000-12 and director of football operations this season.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style.

Build through the draft. Just like the Packers did and the Steelers did before them.

Warning Chefs fans, it will probably take a few seasons and some solid development of draft picks. If he follows the Packers/Steelers mold there will not be a lot of quick fix high profile free agent signings.

As a Chiefs fan I am fine with this approach. The Packers/Steelers are excellent organizations to follow their approach.

Yeah, they would probably be best off to draft a starting LT. Then if/when they get a high pick again next year, they can draft the franchise QB.

They could also hope to get lucky and get a steal in the 2nd round a la Russel Wilson this year.
