However, like most sports the US and Mexico don't control the rights to their away games. So BeIN picked up the rights to most of all opponents this qualifying run.

ESPN has the rights to both the US and Mexico's home matches. beIN only has the rights to US road qualifiers. ESPN is promoting the hell out of Mexico right now because their first Hex match is at home in the Azteca, while the US dosn't have a home match until the end of March. I'm sure you'll see plenty of US love as those March dates approach.
As much as beIN is a pain-in-the-***, it's actually an improvement over the previous arrangement. I can't remember the name of the entity that beIN purchased the road match TV rights from, but all that company was doing was offering US road matches on a PPV basis. At least with beIN you can go to the sports bar and catch the match on a channel that's easily available on DirecTV. Before beIN acquired road rights, I don't think there were many places that were shelling out the money for the PPV games. There's an official US Supporters bar here in Phoenix and even they didn't pick up the last US road qualifier pre-beIN because they said the company wanted a ridiculous amount of money for the PPV broadcast.

Thanks for correcting me. I completely forgot that the US does have away rights, but had sold them. Any idea when these rights revert back to USNMT? I would think with the growing audience ESPN, or another US cable company would be interested in the away rights.

The US doesn't have control over them. It's up to their federation on whom they sell the rights to.

So at some point the PPV company went to many of the smaller CONCACAF federations and acquired their TV rights. beIN simply bought those rights from the PPV company when they launched in a pretty shrewd move to get a foothold in the int'l soccer market.

Okay so my initial assumption was correct, I then incorrectly read ianoconner's post, then misread and article. Apparently my brain has quit working today.
Moving on to the next item. Anyone found somewhere to watch this online? I see on BeIN website that in the future they will make games available, but it doesn't look like they are ready to do this yet. My Dtv Subscription has BeIN, but of course can't stream it through that either.

The roster looks good to you? Name me another winger other than Zusi? is it Torres? Are we gonna use EJ out wide? This is a terrible roster selection again by Jurgen in the midfield. Feilhaber for Brad Davis and Bedoya for Kljestan. This is what I hope to see on Wed based on the roster Jurgen gave us. -

Jobi McAnuff just missed a wide open chance to put Jamaica up against Mexico. Still 0-0.

Those of you who watched the US game, what'd you think? I just watched highlights. Great goal by Dempsey. The defense looks like it needs to step it up. -

Dempsey's goal was class. Great ball from Jones over the defense but just a textbook over-the-shoulder volley from Deuce to score. The first goal from Honduras was just a wonder goal. Tip your hat to the dude, great effort & execution. The final goal was just horrid all-around. It looked like both Howard & Cameron were a bit indecisive in closing on the ball, but Omar's effort was just head-shaking. He looks over his shoulder to see if anybody is near him & in that moment he screwed himself and his team. The ball is rolling across the freakin' box. Go get it and clear it!!!!! Don't look around to see what's going on around you.
What concerns me most is that Honduras really took it to the US today. I haven't seen the stats, but I'm guessing they had more possession, and definitely more chances & better chances, and just generally played a better game. That worries me. It's just one game so I'm not going to overreact. But the early Hex schedule isn't doing the US any favors. Let's hope they look better in March.
