Re: Who is the best WR of all time?
Since there really isn't much of an argument for number one... Who is 2nd? I am inclined to say Marvin Harrison. But it is much more difficult to decide..

The only people who care about how well an NFL receiver blocks are people trying to validate Hines Ward's numbers. He doesn't even approach top 5 receivers unless it's just "blocking receivers."

To me It's Jerry Rice, Cris Carter, Calvin Johnson then Randy "I take plays off when I don't get the ball" Moss.

Re: Who is the best WR of all time?
Randy Moss was probably the most physically gifted receiver I've seen and he was the perfect fit for the late 90s Vikings offense. I doubt I'll ever forget him torching the Packers on Monday Night Football and the Cowboys on Thanksgiving. He was so much fun to want.
He's probably not the best ever, but I loved watching him play.

Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -

He should never be in the Hall for this alone along with his man card.

Megatron is clearly in the conversation and he's only years into his career. However, he's still way too early in his career. It's certainly not helping matters that Calvin has played on so many bad Lions teams. Unfortunately, many people in the Detroit area are beginning to think he may become another Barry Sanders.

I thought I would see Steve Largent on the poll list.

At the same time he could benefit from that because the Lions have no option other than throwing the ball at him 20 times a game. I don't know where you get the stats but it would be interesting to see how much he is targeted relative to other guys, especially Rice.

Re: Who is the best WR of all time?
Larry Johnson is as physically gifted as Calvin Johnson. Unfortunately, Larry will never get his due since the team is so awful. Give him a decade with even an average passing QB and he is in the conversation for 2-10.
Rice is in a league of his own for the time being. He worked his *** off and held himself to a standard few athletes can even fathom, the stars aligned to provide him a couple of the greatest QBs to play the game, a system that fit him like a glove and an incredible streak of injury avoidance through the bulk of his prime. A number of guys have a couple of those pieces, but having them all come together for such an extended period is why Jerry Rice is currently untouchable.

He's two inches shorter, 15 lbs lighter and ran a tenth of a second slower, which is a lot. Fitzgerald is a great, great receiver. Let's also not pretend that Johnson is playing for the Patriots. That franchise is about as bad as Arizona has been since Fitzgerald got there.

Jerry Rice ftw. Closest thing the NFL has to a Michael Jordan...and Hines Ward? seriously? not even top 10 material in any lifetime.
