Terrell Sinkfield
UNI's Sinkfield ran a 4.19 40 today in his Pro Day. Whoa.

I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong. -

Re: Terrell Sinkfield
If it was hand timed, it's hard to say if it was impressive being off by .3 seconds makes it a nice time. Being right on makes him a whole .2 seconds faster than anyone at the combine. A little unbelievable.

The Vikings director of college scouting was present for all three runs which he reported as being in the high 4.3's.
Sub 4.4 is still impressive, but it's a long way from sub 4.2.

Re: Terrell Sinkfield
Bo Jackson still holds the fastest combine 40 time AT 240 POUNDS. No other speed record holds up a couple years, let along 25. Guy was unreal.
The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... people will come Ray. People will most definitely come. -

Former Northern Iowa star Terrell Sinkfield blazes a 4.19-second 40-yard dash at Minnesota’s Pro Day [Video]
Because there is no overstating the show Sinkfield put on in the 40-yard dash. After posting a blazing 4.27 seconds on his first attempt (the NFL Combine record is 4.24 seconds set by Chris Johnson of the Tennessee Titans and Rondel Malendez) he basically turned the NFL Draft universe on its head on his second attempt.
That is the only way to describe his 4.19 time, which would have shattered the Combine record had he gone to a bigger school and earned himself an invite. So how did he do it without any of the big-time publicity? “Just some determination,” Sinkfield said, according to Fox Sports North. “That was the expectation, really. Aim big. I was trying to get that 4.1.”
“I knew it was good when I finished,” Sinkfield said of his 4.19. “I was pretty happy, so I came back. I thought I messed up when they said go again. I’m like, ‘Dang, why do I have to run again?’” However, and despite a 10.86-second 100-meter dash as a track star in high school, D-I programs — including his home state Gophers — wanted nothing to do with him. He was thus relegated to the FCS level and Northern Iowa.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style.
