I agree that much of the criticism of Tebow is deserved - at least on the field of play. But what kind of gets to me is a QB playing for some Omaha team (and the fact that I can't tell you his name off the top of my head tells you how relevant he is) goes into "mock mode" by chuckling that Tebow can be his backup. Okay. This Omaha QB? This is as good as it's going to get for him - starter of this Omaha team. If he were good enough to be an NFL backup he'd be there already. Meanwhile, Tebow's resume includes NFL first round draft pick (whether deserved or not), starter for an NFL team, NFL playoff victory, not to mention the millions of dollars he's made, whereas this guy from Omaha more than likely doesn't even take home the NFL's minimum salary (and it wouldn't stun me if he has to have a side job just to support him).
So yeah, this guy from Omaha is getting in a few good laughs now - but his career will never compare to Tebow's 2-year whirlwind.
Yes, but there are any number of other qbs out there who bring just as much to the table qb skillswise, with none of the circus.
You can rule out the Chiefs, Cards, Jets, Chargers, Rams, Raiders, and any other team where the qb is even slightly embattled or new. It would be just asking for trouble.
"What a horrible night to have a curse."
"Please bury me with all my stuff, because you know it's mine..."
"Passersby were amazed by the unusually large amounts of blood."
