just did not look like a fight till the 3rd quarter Jackson is just too raw right now. Playoffs or not, it would be quite an accomplishment to win 8 or 9 games with him at QB. I really wish the Vikes would have gone after Jeff Garcia for a couple of years to give Jackson some more time. I think the Vikes would be working on 10-12 wins with Garcia or someone like him at QB this year. So many games were literally thrown away...

As a Cowboys fan, I'm not expecting to win next week at all. And to be honest, I don't really care. I don't like the Redskins, but it'd be nie to see them get in with what they've gone through in the last month. And getting homefield advantage when you're in a division in which you had three teams make the playoffs is pretty impressive.

The Vikes had their chance, but decided not to show up for the first 2.5 quarters of the SNF game. I very much dislike the Cowboys, but they will do what's best for them next week, and frankly it won't bother me one bit if Romo and the other starters don't play a snap.
I'll be much more interested to see how the Vikes play during the Denver game (i.e. play hard or pack it in). IMO, that will give the Viking community a clear window into the direction Childress has the team moving.
The Vikes just lost too many games this year because of the inexperience at QB. Quite honestly, as a Vikes fan, I'll be quite satisfied if they get 9 wins given the roster. I'm still not pleased that TJ was pushed into the starting role this year. But as others have posted, Childress seems determined to live or die by TJ.

The Vikings were impressed with Jackson's raw athletic skills and their egos with being able to mold him into this great QB. They were never going to win the big one with Culpepper, and he was twice the talent that TJack is. Jackson is not, and never will be the answer. Their second pick will be a QB this year. Or better, I agree with going after Sage.

I can't agree on quite all of the negativity on TJ. Sure, he's struggled at times, but he's very green, and the time he missed due to injuries didn't help. He also doesn't have much in the way of tools--Rice is a 21 year old rook, and that's about it. That said, I wouldn't have minded had the Vikes gotten a shot at Matt Ryan, and after losing yesterday, I'll just look for the highest draft pick possible. And beating Denver will make that spare third-rounder higher, anyway.

Re: Vikings/Redskins (read at your own risk!!!)
I knew this would happen a couple of games ago. While I'm glad to know they arent a terrible 4-12 type team, I was very afraid they would win a few more, still not make the playoffs and end up with a middle draft pick. I'm sure they will beat Denver but it won't matter because Washington will whip the Dallas scrubs and the Vikes will be headed home for the winter. I hope someone can teach Jackson to keep his feet when he throws, or at least when its ok to take a risk and when to take the sack.

How are you "sure" they'll beat Denver? (maybe you were just being cynical in regards to getting the worst possible draft pick possible)
