Packers Fans Question

Who do you guys want the Pack to play in the divisional game?

I would prefer the Giants or the Bucs. Holmgren always prepares his teams well to play against Green Bay and knows how to win at Lambeau in January.

I say bring on Seattle. Last time they played in Lambeau was January 1st 2006. Final game of the year and everyone thought of Brett's career. What happened??? Packers won 23-17.

Is that the game that went to overtime and GB won on a long pass play? IF it is I'm not sure that I'd be referencing that as my reason to have Seattle come to town.

I don't think you can compare the Seattle game to the way they may be now. That game as you said was the last game of the season. The Packers were on their way to I believe a 4-12 season and the Seahawks were about to head to the playoffs where they eventually made the Super Bowl. They rested their starters pretty early on and lost what was a meaningless game for them.

The Bucs aren't very good running the ball right now, which would free up the defense to concentrate on the wide outs and keep Galloway in check. However, with these factors in mind, it probably means that they won't make it past the first round.

The Pack have proven that they can beat the Giants when they are healthy (which they aren't now). I would rather see the G-Men at Lambeau.

I have the packers going the whole way. Take that with a grain of salt.

EDIT: Not winning the Super Bowl, just going there.

I wouldn't be so quick to hope for TB... They are a better team than most think. I think they will beat the Giants, but if I were a Packer fan (I'm not) I would want to play NYG.

So looks like it'll be the Packers and Seahawks. Shawn Alexander was absolutely shut down in the Redskins game and they still won. Mostly because the Redskins had trouble with turnovers. Those two pick-6s in the 4th quarter killed 'em. Otherwise, they might have had a shot. If Green Bay's defense can stuff Alexander and keep the Pack ahead, that'll keep Favre from gunslinging down the field and causing turnovers. Should be an easy win for GB.

Ugh, do not turn it to ESPN right now. NFL's Greatest Games is showing the 1998 playoff game against the 49ers. If only they had instant replay back then the Packers would have probably gone to their 3rd straight Super Bowl.

Replays showed that the ball had slipped from Rice’s grasp before either of his knees had made contact with the ground, but the official ruled that Rice was down prior to losing control of the ball.

Outcome: The 49ers completed the comeback as quarterback Steve Young picked out Terrell Owens between five Packer defenders on a miraculous 25-yard touchdown with three seconds left.
