Coughlin-Tynes
Let me preface by saying the NFC championship was such a hard fought battle that I was going to feel bad for either team if they lost. I was pulling for the Pack just because I don't want an East Coast Super Bowl.
Did anyone see how ****** Coughlin looked after Tynes missed that field goal? If I were Tynes I would have said "F you coach, you try to kick a 40 yard field goal in sub zero temperatures." He hit the one he had to anyways to win.
If I was Coughlin at that point I would have said "Keep your head up, we'll need you later to come through for us."
Remember that stressed spelled backwards is desserts!

Re: Coughlin-Tynes
Tynes saved himself some major $ on that kick. If he missed that that last one, you could kiss his butt goodbye.

Re: Coughlin-Tynes
The guy hasn't exactly been money for the Giants this season. 5/10 from 30-39 but oddly enough - 9/9 from 40-49.
So, Tom just needs to send him out there for either chip-shots or the extra long ones.

Re: Coughlin-Tynes
He was just warming up with the two misses - the goalposts were like a giant wallet to aim ay. Set the playoff record at Lambeau. Looks like Eli is Coming. Archie Manning was a basket case.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -
Re: Coughlin-Tynes
I thought Tynes sucked for KC, but crap'ola, he sure hit the one that mattered most tonight!!

I thought it was stupid for Joe Buck to call out the snapper. He should have instead been singing Joe Feagles praises because he got the ball down, the laces turned, and it was a perfect hold and done in time. The miss was entirely on Tynes.

He did sing the praises of the holder for getting it down and in place. At least I thought I remembered him saying something.

Re: Coughlin-Tynes
Did anyone else think Coughlin was getting seriously frost bitten. His face was as red as a beet by the end of the game.

I don't completely agree. That threw the timing completely off. The miss goes on both the long snapper and kicker - with a ton of credit to the holder for even getting the thing in the ground.

I'd assume so as the kick was so badly missed.

Re: Coughlin-Tynes
Great game...just sad to see it end the way it did for Farve cuz this was his year if it ever was going to happen again. He made a bad pass and just like that his season was done. But that was an amazing kick by Tynes. I don't think that will ever be repeated in Lambo...to come back after missing two of them to end the game and to drill that one was pretty amazing!!!

Re: Coughlin-Tynes
Sorry, the hold got down. I'm of the school where you have to make that kick. Or at least not miss it that badly.
