Moss and Patriots: Marriage to continue?

After next Sunday (or sometime after that), Randy's one-year deal from the Patriots runs out. Both Randy and the Patriots have a big decision to make - most likely with the ball being in New England's court.

What do they do? With Randy's stats and contribution to the team, he'll no doubt be looking (and worth) a big contract. The Pats are known for not shelling out big money.

Should be interesting if other receiver-starved teams can make a play at Randy and "steal" him away from the Pats.

Re: Moss and Patriots: Marriage to continue?

This will start heating up now that the big game is over with.

Also, when asked about his relationship with Bill, Randy replied with...

"We don't really conversate.''

Which was translated into (by the media)...

"We don't really converse much.''

Not that it means a ton, don't need to talk to your HC all that much - especially in the NFL - but as a big playmaker - it doesn't hurt to have that relationship be a good one.

Randy is game changing, but Welker and Stallworth have shown they can handle the load.

Remember that stressed spelled backwards is desserts!

"The New England Patriots: As annoying as the Yankess, just with 23 fewer titles."

Moss caught 23 touchdowns! The Pats may pride themselves on plugging people into The System, but Moss is a game changer. They can't go out and just find a great tall receiver to replace him. They will shell out big dough and if they don't someone else will. Everyone knows he was the key piece of their record setting offensive production. Moss doesn't have that many years left to make a lot of money, so I'm sure he'll ca$h in if the Pats don't offer him a sweet deal.
