If Hobbs does name his HS, I personally will quit rooting for him and claiming him as a Clone. And I will have no reason to root for NE. He's the only reason I've wanted them to win all year, but if he doesn't claim ISU, why should we claim him?? Are you serious?

I'm sure we'll see plenty of Ellis on Super Bowl Sunday. Either Amani Toomer or Plaxico will be burning him all game long. He makes afew good plays, but most of the time he is giving up a catch. I bet he makes a pick though, just like in the AGC Championship game

Please people....its not a big deal. What about his high school, I bet its really cool for them to be mentioned. Why are we so selfish about being given attention that we'd get all upset over this....and yes, he does wear ISU gear still.

Someone said earlier that they don't do the player intros on Fox anymore anyway, so it won't matter. However, it may be a case where the NE defense gets introduced coming out of the tunnel and in that instance, they WILL announce Ellis as being from ISU.
BTW, if NE wins, I think ISU should have a ceremony next year honoring Ellis.

There isn't more of a dead horse topic than this one. Can you honestly remember what school anybody says when they do their pregame stuff? I couldn't tell you where one patriots player except Brady and Logan Mankins played in college.
I could care less what Ellis says - we know he loves ISU, he knows he loves ISU, and it's his life and time to do whatever with. If Hobbs does name his HS, I personally will quit rooting for him and claiming him as a Clone. Can we quit acknowledging you as a clone fan then?

It is NOT a big deal and Ellis does NOT hate ISU. If any of you have ever been around him (I'm sure those that are upset have not), you would know that. He is a very humble guy who loves ISU, as well as his hometown.
Last year, he chose to give major props to ISU; this year he is representing his hometown. Has James Reed or Reggie Hayward said anything besides ISU? If they did, why not complain about them?
It may shock some to know that he has been seen wearing the new I-State gear around.
Ellis is a great rep. for ISU and football in general.
Go get 'em E-III; I'll definitely be rollin' my Hobbs jersey during the game!

I guess having Ellis associated with his HS can't hurt since he will get burnt all day by Toomer and Plaxico...just like he does by every WR every week.

Easy. Moss went to Marshall, Maroney went to Minnesota. It would just be nice to show recruits that ISU isn't some dead-end, middle-of-nowhere school...that they can get to the big-time through ISU. It would be a good little reminder to guys thinking about ISU. IMO Ellis is just mad at the firing of Mac.

have you ever got caught outside In a strong rainfall? Yes or NO. If it"s yes, then you might half felt the pane of hard(tought) rain on you head. If it hurt"s then it"s tough. Yes or no. Okay I'm right and you know it.
So alothough you attempt"ed to say you didn"t understnad, now you do. Fair enough?
