Re: Super Bowl Halftime Show
boring yes, good- I'd have to say yes. In this day of MTV (or non-MTV half time shows), I don't have to have lots of noise, fireworks, and hot bizzo's thrusting their mid-sections. Tom Petty's music has been good, and still is good.
...I sound old, and I'm not.... ugh...

Re: Super Bowl Halftime Show
Actually, I thought it was one of the better half time shows I have seen. Tom looks bad in HD but he can still sing and has a great collection of songs! Everyone I was with was under 30 and loved the half time show.

I thought the halftime show was great. Good to see an actual band play that is not lip syncing.

Re: Super Bowl Halftime Show
I thought it was really good but I'm a Tom Petty fan. Upbeat, talented, inoffensive and most people at least recognize the songs if they are not fans.

Re: Super Bowl Halftime Show
Whoever saidf that the lip syncing was terrible must have had a TV malfunction. I guarantee TP would not lip sync

Re: Super Bowl Halftime Show
It was far better than that very disturbing thing Paula Abul put together before the game.
Hideous and she wasn't even bad at lip-syncing - she was horrid. -

Hideous and she wasn't even bad at lip-syncing - she was horrid. Yeah... I saw that too... It was a train wreck... which is hard to do when you lip sync.

I thought it was pretty dang good.

Re: Super Bowl Halftime Show
Good Show with TP performing. I was just sad waiting for MJ to play.

I didn't think it was a bad show. I mean, TP isn't the kind of act that really rocks out, but he's good live, and he did play his biggest hits from Full Moon Fever, his best selling album.

Re: Super Bowl Halftime Show
I thought it wasn't bad. Certainly better than some previous ones, that's for sure. Pretty harmless, yes. A little stale, maybe. But solid. Didn't grab your attention but didn't make you turn it down either.
