    Re: Rank Super Bowl XLII

Definitely not best ever. Maybe in 20 years we'll look back and call it the best ever, but now there are too many "classics" that take the cake. Rams/Patriots, Jets/Colts, Broncos/Packers, Giants/Bills those are all better IMO. This would probably be top 5 or 6 though.

I would have to say this was the greatest I have ever seen. If it wasn't for the way it ended, probably not. But that was a spectacular drive(specifically the pass to Tyree) by Eli to win it.

Technical Issue Leaves Thousands Without Super Bowl - Local News Story - KHBS Ft. Smith

Thousands of football fans in northwest Arkansas missed the first half of Super Bowl XLII because of a technical issue at a local television station.

According to the KFTA-TV Web site, Super Bowl coverage on FOX 24 went off the air at about 3 p.m. Hundreds of viewers called 40/29 News with questions and comments about the outage.

    KHBS/KHOG is an ABC affiliate.
A signal was restored at halftime, but it left football fans disappointed that they missed the first half of New York's 17-14 win over New England.

"You're looking at the Super Bowl game, the one game all year that pretty much every American watches, and what am I doing? i'm going to the Internet to check the score online," said Tim Fryer.

The Bengals-Niners in 88-89 was a good one too (although I was rooting for the Bengals). It probably ranks up there, but not a clear cut best.
