Shaq to be traded to Suns?

That would be terrible for the Suns, and great for the Heat. Shaq doesn't fit in the run and gun offense of the Suns.

Why the **** would anyone want Tha Deisel nowadays. He hasnt played more than half a season since wining a ring in Miami. He was a wunderkind in Orlando, now he's just big, lazy, and always hurt.

I'm a big Suns fan and I don't like this trade. Shaq doesn't bring enough to the table to make this a decent, let alone good, deal. Now granted it might help them against some of the teams they typically struggle against (i.e. Mavs, Spurs, etc) but Marion is more versatile and much, much more productive.

This would be a bad move in my humble opinion. The Suns are one of the better teams in the West and the Heat is falling from the top in the East. Shaq is having one of his worst seasons ever and he is getting old, he can't have too much left in him.

exactly...i can't see shaq doing much at all in the suns offense. this would be a terrible trade for the suns. on the other side though, marion would be HUGE for d-wade. it would be one of the more lopsided trades ever.

I don't think the Suns would make a mistake like that. I love the way they play, but that's like putting a Hummer in a race with 4 M3's. Not a good plan.

As a Suns fans I would hate this trade. This team already has enough trouble rebounding and they would be giving up their best rebounder for an aging Shaq. They do need to do something though, they may have the best record in the west but they haven't really fared well against the best teams in the west. Amare gets in too much foul trouble against Duncan, Boozer and Bynum.

agree with most of the posters, dumb, dumb, move if Phoenix does it. It would just totally disrupt/change their offensive mindset. I think the Suns are a much more vulnerable team if they are slowed down, so i don't really know why they would want to slow THEMSELVES down??

i live in the phx and go to all the game. Ive gone back and forth but i think it can work

2 Banks is horribe
3 we cant beat anyone with a decent big man

Shaq can rebound, help against Duncan and now the lakers. The suns would only need him againts certain teams and could let him play 20 - 25 min the other games. Teams wouldnt be able to double him with all the shooters the suns have. It would allow Stat to play the 4 which is what he wants to do. Shaq can rebound and start the fast break. You dont need 5 to run a break. So that gives the suns a starting five of Nash, Bell, Hill, Stat, and Shaq not bad. Ive been to all the playoff games and Marion diappears in the playoffs cuz he cant shoot, and cant create his own shoot.
So it is a gamble but it wasnt working the way it was so something has to be done

I'm in Phoenix too. I can't see Shaq fitting in with D'Antoni's offense. During this off-season the Suns were talking trade with the T-Wolves. Stoudamire for Garnett. Suns fans were up in arms about possibly giving up Stoudamire. Now I wish the Suns had pulled the trigger.
