Were we gonna do a keeper league? We had talked about it last year, but not everyone was interested. If a majority is interested, we can do one and fill the empty slots with someone else. But they'd have to choose an abandoned team.
Heres a copy of everyones final rosters. ill try to email everyone with the email they had last year with yahoo. Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Baseball Archive
If the link doesnt work let me know, ill try to cut and paste it.

I cannot remember if I was last year or not but would love to get in a keeper league this year if spots arise.

I'm not a big fan of the keeper system but I guess if there is enough interest I'll probably be back again regardless. How many players will we be allowed to keep and will the draft order go from worst place gets 1st pick and such? I've never done a keeper league before so not sure how you plan to run it but I think you've got to keep the number of players you can retain to a fairly small number so there are at least some decent players in the draft.

We dont have to do it, but if we did... My idea would be to keep 3 players, at least 1 pitcher, 1 position player and the 3rd can be either.
And for the draft we could vote on it later, but we would do a reverse order of what everyone finished last year, just to keep people that didnt do so well last year interested.
Im always open for ideas. We had 15 teams last year, I dont care if we keep that many or reduce it to 12.

We can always start a keeper league this year knowing that it will be a keeper league. But it would be nice to have only serious players that will check up on their team and not abandon it after a couple months. And also come back year after year.
I can set up a league on Yahoo right now. There will probably be a limit of 12 teams. 15 teams really waters it down. We could have 1 keeper league and 1 non keeper league for anyone not wanting to commit for more than 1 year.
If anyone has any suggetions on the rules/stats they like to play with, share them.

hey Rip - I'm back in this year, for sure. I really have no preference. I have a big keeper/contract league that I'm in, so I wouldn't mind just having all new rosters and let their be a random order to the draft and not worry about keepers.
Also - unless people are really serious about being prepared, you don't want to add too many teams, just replace those that don't want to play this year because once you get past 12-14 teams, and with big rosters, people have to know A LOT about the depth charts and who's being looked at for starting spots and such...
I think we just keep it fun and simple, same format as last year, no keeper league, redraft, and go.

just do standard 5x5 scoring; yahoo's player list is pretty solid, do the 12 teams like you said, start normal rosters: C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, OF, OF, OF, DH (UTIL), SP, SP, RP, RP, P, P, P plus 5 or 6 bench ( or 5 bench and one DL)

I'd play too if there's still room. I always keep my team up to date to the point of over-management.

Ok. i created a regular league. ID # 52884
And a KEEPER league. ID # 52696. Please sign up for this if you will want to play next year and possibly the year after that if we all decide to. Keep that in mind when joining, I dont wanna hear people bitc****, cause strategy will be a little different. You have to plan for next year and look for good young talent.
There are only 11 open slots per league, so join ASAP if you want in. The password to both leagues is cyclones . Once the league are full we can discus a draft date and time for each.
