Re: Fish to release Zach Thomas

Do you think they gave him the option to retire instead of flat out release? They mention retirement in the article, isn't he kind of a legend in Miami?

That is too bad, i really liked him as he was a hard nosed player despite being really small for a linebacker

I'm sure he'll end up on the "old linebacker becomes new again Patriots HGH therapy plan".

Neck problem?

EIU is the other Okoboji University for serious students and home of Captain Kirk who pilots the Enterprise on its Trek through the Universe for finding his next great job. Captain, beware of your Superbowl.

He and Seau can shoot each other up and talk about their grandkids.

It creates team unity. Pretty soon Miami isn't going to have anybody left. They have cut like 4-5 starters and don't have a QB. Who knows maybe they will be better right away because of it.

Never put off until tomorrow what you can avoid all together.

That sucks. Anything that will keep the Dolphins old, slow and not winning is good by me.

Re: Fish to release Zach Thomas

"A source told ESPN.com that retirement is a possibility and Thomas will play again only if he can join a team that he views as having a legitimate shot at winning a Super Bowl. "

I could be wrong, but this sounds like a good pick up for the Packers. They could use just a little more depth at LB, and he could help bring leadership to their young defense.
