Very true. when in Minnesota, he had Nathan and a cast of excellent set-up men. In New York however, he is going to get excellent run support though...so i am going to stick with Santana for NL cy young

Watch out for the Reds this year... lots of youngsters looking to make an impact. (Jay Bruce, Joey Votto, Homer Bailey)

Johan also typically gets off to a slow start in the season until he fine tunes the touch on his C/U. Last year he also faded off during the last month. At least he gets away from Cle & Det who absolutely owned him last year.

That didn't work out to well but hopefully you can decipher it, cause it took a long time.

You think the Dodgers are that good that they're going to win both the NL West AND the Wildcard???

It's hard for me to imagine A-Rod winning MVP when in your scenario you don't have the Yankees making the playoffs. Not saying it won't end up that way, I'm just finding it hard to imagine. Then again, I myself am finding it difficult to think of anyone besides A-Rod that'll be able to win it in the AL...

Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice?
Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this.

    Re: MLB Preseason Predictions

Okay... I had to resurrect this thread before it goes to the archive.

We are now 58 games in... Some of these predictions are funny to read now.

They are playing .500 ball in the TOUGH NL Central

    AL West -- Angels
    AL Central -- Indians
    AL East -- Red Sox
    Wild Card -- Tigers

    NL West -- Rockies
    NL Central -- Cubs
    NL East -- Mets
    Wild Card -- Diamondbacks

I'm not sold on the Yankees yet, especially without Torre. Maybe Girardi is the real deal, but I'm reserving judgment.

Definitely a huge swing in this division since last year.
