SI re-ran this story sometime when I was in high school (1999-2003) and I totally bought it. I went and told my baseball coach about it and he laughed and me because he knew the story from when it orginally ran. I can imagine how stupid I sounded telling my coach that the Mets had a guy who could throw a fastball 168 mph
