I was watching ESPN this morning and one of the questions they were debating was if Tiger could actually win the Masters this year and go on and win the Grand Slam this year. I actually started laughing considering that he has 6 of the last 7 tournaments that he has entered I think he is on top of his game right now. His swing is solid, his putting is spectacular, around the green he is deff within the top 5, and long irons I don't think there is anyone better. The only thing that could get him is his driver, and that could be a mute point if he just hits 280 yard 3 woods all week...
If you couldn't tell my pick to win this year is Tiger, he might even come in second as well lol.

Tiger hasn't been as invincible as everyone says. It's asking a LOT to win 4 majors in a year, just like it's asking a LOT to go undefeated. Augusta is a very difficult course, and if you aren't long off the tee, it's even moreso. A two iron difference might mean the difference between holding a green or not.

I hope he loses. His reaction to the photographers a few weeks ago was ridiculous.
But he definitely is the favorite.

David Faherty(sp?) was on Dan Patrick this morning and he was asked what the stint meter was for the greens, he said "In the triple digits" Don't know if that helps Tiger or not, but I think the scoring won't be low.

Augusta is a very difficult course that he has won at 4 times
Zach Johnson laid up on every single par 5 last year and won. You don't have to be as long as people think. I believe he went something like -12 under on the par 5's that week.
Tiger is the best in tour at controlling his low irons. He is easily the favorite to win the tourney, but I don't like the added pressure he has put on himself by saying that "it is possible" to win all four majors. Usually he feeds off of other peoples comments and not his own. We will have to see if this works as well.

But he definitely is the favorite. I don't think it was ridiculous. I think the guy taking a picture in his backswing was pretty rude though. It's not so much that the greens are fast (they are crazy fast though), just that they were designed to hold approach shots from much less distance than they are asked to hold them for now, since they've lengthened the course so much. Hitting a 7, 8 or 9 iron into a green is a LOT different than hitting a 3,4, or 5 iron into a green.

I'm not saying that Tiger is invincible I think if he has an off day on Sunday that anyone can beat him (Zach Johnson). I'm just saying that he has a very good chance at winning it. Also I was watching the Masters preview and they said that golfers had practiced putting on ice rinks to get a feel for the greens. I don't know what the stimpmeter is supposed to read but its gunna be crazy!

Watching the Master's today Tiger's game seems to be just 'going', its not great but its keeping him in contention. I liked that Zach Johnson did well, it actually kind of surprised me. But I read the stimp was somewhere around 14....that is unheard of. I think you could get more grip off carpet. Hopefully Zach continues to play well to show that last years Master's wasn't just a fluke. But even if you're in the lead, in the back of your mind you have to be thinking....'Tiger's still back there'.

Was watching ESPN again today and some grad stat student had actually come up with a formula to predict that Tiger was one up on the competetion before he even hit his first ball. Sometimes math speaks louder than actions.
