Another signing today-Someone please tell me why we are signing players that can't even make the other teams roster.

I would tell you, but I don't know either......something has to happen soon, or the Chiefs are going to turn into last year's raiders.

Because Herm's main mission is to destroy any team he has ever been a part of.

I'm a chiefs fan, and I knew this thread would be really depressing.

So, who did they sign, am I missing it somewhere?
Not making another teams roster in the NFL only means that you are a veteran player anymore. They pay such huge amounts to rookies that they have to cut the vets due to salary cap. NFL needs a rookie salary slot system like the NBA has, no holdouts, everyone has to earn their keep beyond their initial contract.

The Chiefs need so many positions filled that I think they should try and trade for Dallas' 2 first round picks so hopefully they can get an OL, DL, CB in their first 3 choices.

It definitely hasn't been a good offseason...added lack of talent and lost Casey Wiegman. Might as well bring back Steve DeBerg for the play action to avoid getting slaughtered at the snap.

April 14th, 2008 @ 1:10 pm;
[ KC Chiefs.com] Chiefs President Carl Peterson announced on Monday that the club has agreed to terms of a two-year contract with FB Chris Manderino. As per Chiefs policy, no other terms of the agreement were made available.
Manderino spent the entire 2007 campaign on Cincinnati’s practice squad. He also spent a portion of the 2006 season on the Bengals developmental squad.
