Looks like Chad Johnson is wanting out of Cincinnati. Should the Bears, Packers or Vikings go after him? I don't care how much of a head case he is, I would love him on the Bears. ESPN - Johnson says he won't attend team functions, demands trade - NFL |

lotta money involved there, ESPN said only Marvin Harrison has made more. IDK if a team wants to take the hit or not. It would be exciting to see him in Dallas, but I kinda doubt Cincinnati will do anything to trade him, unless they really get some great stuff for him, but the Bengals do hold all the cards.

How old is he? Gotta be getting up there.
I wouldn't completely oppose him on my team - but I certainly wouldn't be jumping for joy over it. Especially when my Cowboys already have a flamboyant receiver.

The Bears MUST sign ocho cinco, then the would have at least one weapon on offense.

I highly doubt that he's ever end up in Dallas. Not with T.O. on the team. Tony Romo would have to grow like 3 more arms to be able to throw enough passes to make those two happy. Jerry Jones is a risk taker, but he's not that stupid.
The Bengals are going to want at least a 2nd round pick for him, if not more. So what teams would be willing to pony up? As much as I'd like to see him in a Vikings uniform, I just can't see them pulling the trigger and risking alienating Berrian like that.

I say punish him.
Trade him to the Raiders...

If Jerry could get him and not destroy the salary cap, he would do it in a heartbeat, and as a Cowboys fan, I would support it. Unfortunately, Dallas doesn't have a lot of cap room to play with, IIRC. So, we'll let some other team have him and just shut him down with... ...
if we have to play them! | |

I dunno, Jerry has done some pretty stupid things in his day - although admitted he's been better in recent years. Much better in fact.
However, it seems he's seriously giving this Pacman to Dallas thing a lot of consideration. D'oh!
I think Chad would need to go someplace with a solid, established QB with a good handle on the team. Even then, problems could arrise.
I think theoretically, he'd be a decent fit for Chicago - but with their liquid QB situation - he could tear 'em apart. Not that he's been a QB basher like TO - but he's so vocal and will say whatever he wants - I just can't be a huge fan of him in that respect.

I could see them trading him for less then a second round pick. Makes no sense holding onto a guy that won't play for you so might as well dump him. But I would think there are some teams out there that would be willing to give up a second round pick for an instant play maker, especially if they don't have one now.

I wouldn't be too upset to see #85 in a viking uni (but I really don't see it happening).

What about Dan Snyder? I could see Chad in a redskins uniform. How about the Bucs? Shoot, even the Eagles could make a play.

I hope Snyder trades for him and locks up a bunch of cash in the guy. He continues to overpay receivers and in the end - it doesn't work out for him.

I would love to see him with the Bears. They can trade him straight up for Cedric Benson as far as I'm concerned.
