I'm also a chiefs fan and don't mind this trade either. They are going to have to go into rebuilding mode sometime. They should have traded Johnson last year or whenever they gave him a huge contact. My only contention is if they trade Allen, they also get rid of "king" Carl and Herm. The Chiefs REALLY need to start over completely. Carl's five year superbowl plan is now in year 19.

Herm and Carl are draft hogs. They want to prove that they can find hidden gems when they can't
so if this happens I would take Alberts and then Brohm for my picks You just made Friday even better!

That place was crazy at the ERC. Wait until they are better. I've been to probably 15 Chiefs games and the one I went to last year was lame. I seriously wanted to leave.

Word is that Allen is up at Winter Park, MN right now with his agent and Vikings management. Rumor is that Vkings and Chiefs either have a deal done, or close to done, but the big hurdle now is to get Allen signed to a contract. Supposedly he wants Dwight Freeney money ($72 mil contract with $30 mil signing bonus)

As a Vikngs fan, I'd really rather they didn't blow two or more draft picks on Allen, especially since this draft is deep in defensive ends. How old is he, already?

I'm not saying that he's a sure thing, but he's a safer bet than any Rookie will be. Plus, Minnesota doesn't exactly have the best track record in recent years when it come to taking defensive ends in the first round.
Erasmus James, Kenechi Udeze, and Demitrius Underwood come to mind.
Not necessarily bad guys (besides Underwood) but not exactly lighting the world on fire, either.
