How many of those guys are over 40? None. How many are cornerstones for their teams future? All. Frank was brought in to be a compliment to what they already have. If Vernon Wells or Alex Rios were off to a slow start they would have to deal with it. They have no reason to let Frank slump and hope he comes out of it.

I guess the Jays aren't greedy; they're just stupid.

Consider Andruw Jones - he really sucks and is still getting ABs because they are paying him to play, not platoon. I hope the Hurt hooks on somewhere and plays well, particularly against the Jays.

Great deal for Oakland. Paying him the league minimum. Kind of interesting that they have both Big Frank and Mike Sweeney now, but Oakland is kind of interesting in general.
