Credits: 276,801 | NFL Draft - Yay or Nay? With all the NFL Draft talk on the radio this last week or two I'm wondering if I'm the only one who doesn't really get all that excited about it. I am obviously interested in who my team drafts but I don't need to spend my day watching every second of the draft on t.v. I could read about it in the paper the next day and that's good enough for me. Anyone else feel this way? |

Thank you Wes Johnson for the great 2 years you gave Iowa State. Wish you could've stayed. Best of luck to you, wherever you end up.
"The one thing I really want to say is to tell the fans thank you for everything," Johnson said. "You rooted for me, you were behind me with my injury, and I really appreciated that."

Originally Posted by travman23 I can watch it some but it gets painful to wait what seems like 20 minutes between picks sometimes. The previous time between picks was 15 minutes. The NFL has reduced it to 10 minutes in the first round, and I believe it is 5 minutes every round after that. It can extend passed those times, though, if a trade is made. Once the pick is traded, the clock starts again. |

Even though the teams are spending millions and they need to make sure they are getting the right guy they could speed it up a little. I can almost gurantee that Miami will take their full amount of time to select Jake Long who they have already have said they will select and signed. I don't really care on the second day except for my favorite team |

In related news, Goodell said the other day on Mike&Mike that he is very interested in looking into a salary cap on rookies. This is much needed because the money teams are forced to invest into these unknown commodities in the first round is getting out of hand. |

The only thing I really like is the first round picks tanking later and the diamonds in the rough, but none of that really kicks in until about 3 or 4 years after the draft.
So I'm enjoying the 2004 draft right about now.
